Lady Gaga and One Republic Take Off in "Top Gun: Maverick"

It's almost time! "Top Gun: Maverick" is officially released on May 27th after 2 years of delays due to Covid. Tom Cruise is back as Lt. Pete Mitchell, Val Kilmer once again takes on the role of "Iceman" and a slew of newcomers round out the Top Gun cast. So far, we've been given two Music Videos to give us a taste of what to expect!

We'll start with Lady Gaga's "Hold My Hand". Both Lady Gaga and Tom Cruise have said that this song is intertwined into the entire story of the movie. Tom even went as far as to say this song brought the movie together. The music video begins by showing a P-51 Mustang gliding through the sky and also sitting in a hangar with Lady gaga singing around it. Why is this special? That P-51 Mustang is Tom Cruise's as he is an accomplished Fixed Wing and Helicopter pilot in real life! Then the video flashes back to the first movie reminiscing of Goose before moving on to clips of the new movie that have mostly already been seen in previous trailers. The video does sneak a shot of a Jet crashing and a funeral...who is it? We have to wait for the movie! Here's the video!

Next we have One Republic's "I Ain't Worried". This music video is a mix of the band singing on a beach and clips from the movie. These clips are much more telling. We learn the female lead is a bartender (Penny Benjamin), we get to see a signature Maverick FlyBy, and the much like the famous Volleyball Scene of the original, we have the boys playing Football on the beach. If these two videos are any indication..."Top Gun: Maverick" is going to be epic! Check out One Republic's "I Ain't Worried" here!
