GOOD NEWS!! The "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" is still happening this year, but it'll be different due to the pandemic. The biggest change is there won't be any crowds. Typically 3.5 million people visit Manhattan along the 2.5-mile route, but not this year.
The executive producer of the parade says, quote, "[Viewers will] still see the balloons. They're still going to see the floats. They're still going to see Santa and Broadway and all of these elements that they're used to seeing. We're going to see some social distancing. We're going to have masks, things like that. But it's still going to be the parade they know and love."
