My heart shattered when I found out that Best Buy was going to stop selling CDS THIS SUMMER! It's the end of an era. An era that I have been a part of for over half of my life. I'm 27, and I can remember the exact moment I bought my first CD.
Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time." It was a wonderful moment for me. I was 9. I saved up my chore money to buy it. I had only bought cassett tapes before, and still did for a while in order to record songs off the radio... (shhhh don't tell my job)
It breaks my heart to realize that CDS are coming to an end. Soon, cars will be manufactured WITHOUT CD players, and I don't know how to handle that.
To think that my Britney Spears albums will be considered "retro" is a part of aging that I'm not ready to face. #ImSoOld
What was your first CD? Let me know in the comment section. Do you even use your CDS anymore?
