Chase your dreams and celebrate all girls being joyful, healthy, and confident at the Great Beginnings & Great Smiles Girls on the Run of WNC 5K run and walk! It is family-friendly and open to the public. The 5K will be chip timed for community runners and running buddies. Runners and walkers of all ages and levels are encouraged to register.
Join hundreds of girls in grades 3-8 from throughout Western North Carolina, who have trained with volunteer coaches for the past 10 weeks, to participate in the celebratory end-of-season 5K. The Girls on the Run program combines running with lessons about important topics such as preventing bullying and processing emotions.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Girls on the Run of WNC scholarship fund, which aims to make the non-profit’s program accessible to all girls in the community, regardless of their ability to pay the program fee.
