A 97-year-old woman has a bucket list, and one thing she has been wanting to cross off is going to PROM. A woman in Warwick, Rhode named Julie Huddon is her granddaughter and has been helping her cross these items off.
The reason her grandmother, Helen, didn't go to Prom when she was in high school was because it was during the Depression. Her parents couldn't afford a dress.
A few months ago, Julie asked the principal of a nearby high school if her grandmother could go to THEIR prom, and they absolutely loved the idea if Julie brought her as her date.
Julie surprised her grandmother with a PROMPOSAL, bought her a dress, and even got her a tiara to wear with it.
Before the big day last Friday, Helen joked that she wanted to do the "Hully Gully" a dance that we haven't heard of, but it was HUGE in the sexties. They got the music for her, let her dance her heart out, and Helen was named honorary prom queen.
Now THAT is crossing something off your Bucket List!
