I had the oppotrunity to see the stunning exhibit of the Chihuly sculptures at the Biltmore Estate. I learned about how they were made in the artist's studio, and how many are released each year. It was a learning experience for me, and I'm not a big art person. You can't deny the beauty and talent that go behind each piece.
Blowing glass is a skill, and Artist Dale Chihuly has a rare talent for it! Unfortunately, he lost eye sight in one eye and injured his arm to the point where he can't blow glass himself anymore. He does observe, and guide his studio to produce true Chihuly pieces every year. You can see them for yourself at the Biltmore Estate.
I had a blast going over the weekend, and I would love to see it at night!
