'Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' Reboot Actor Involved In Fatal Car Crash

The actor set to reprise the role of Uncle Phil in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot was involved in a freeway accident on Monday (October 18) that resulted in the death of a man laying in the road.

According to TMZ, actor Adrian Holmes was traveling southbound on the 110 freeway towards downtown Los Angeles when he struck an unidentified man who was laying down in his lane.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet the accident occurred around 7:35 p.m. and that Holmes nor the driver behind him could avoid hitting the man. As a result, the man's body was pushed into the adjacent lane and struck by a third vehicle. The man suffered from fatal injuries from the crash.

Police are currently investigating what led to the man being out on the busy freeway and if drugs and alcohol were a factor. Authorities so far have not reported drugs or alcohol being a factor in any of the drivers' actions.

As mentioned previously, Holmes is set to play Uncle Phil in the drama reboot of the beloved 90s sitcom. After a viral reimagining of the show went viral, Will Smith signed on to executive produce the project, which got picked up for two seasons at Peacock.
