Queen Elizabeth Gave Archie A Waffle-Maker For Christmas

There's been a ton of speculation about where Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth's relationship stands following his decision to step back from royal life. Many anonymous sources would have everyone believe the Duke of Sussex and his grandmother aren't on good terms, Prince Harry cleared the air with the cutest anecdote about the Queen and his son, Archie, during his appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

"My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker," Prince Harry shared while riding around Los Angeles on a double-decker bus. "She sent us a waffle maker for Archie. So breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, puts it in the waffle maker, flips it....he loves it."

His nearly two-year-old son is so obsessed with his Christmas present from his great-grandmother that he "wakes up in the morning and just goes 'waffle?'" according to Prince Harry.

"You're glossing over the fact that I cannot for the life of me imagine the Queen ordering a waffle-maker to be sent to Santa Barbara," the Late Late Show host quipped. "I cannot get my head around it." Prince Harry hilariously replied that he doesn't "even know how to comment on that."

Not only is Queen Elizabeth shipping waffle makers across the Atlantic Ocean for her great-grandson, Prince Harry says she and Prince Philip have also learned how to navigate Zoom. "We've Zoomed them a few times, they've seen Archie running around," Harry said. He also shared a funny story about how his 99-year-old grandfather hasn't quite figured out how to properly end a Zoom cool yet. Instead of using the "Leave Meeting" button, Prince Philip simply shuts the laptop when he's done chatting.
