Cardi B finally addressed the backlash over Kylie Jennerâs appearance in her new music video.
The internet is still recovering from the impact of Cardi and Megan Thee Stallionâs naughty, star-studded production for their raunchy record, âWAP.â The visual, which has already racked up over 60 million YouTube views, featured several surprising cameos appearances from musicians like Normani, Rubi Rose, Sukihana, RosalĂa, and Mulatto.
However, it was when the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star popped onto the scene in the clip that drew ire from fans â so much that people are petitioning to have her edited out of the video. You think weâre joking, but more than 65,500 people signed a Change.org petition demanding Jennerâs removal, with the creator stating, âThe video was perfect until we saw K and I wanted to throw my phone.â
Fans expressed similar sentiments on Twitter, arguing that Kylie did significantly less than the other girls, like Normani, who performed an entire dance break of her own. The âBodak Yellowâ star finally addressed the fuss Sunday night (August 9), letting it more or less be known that Kylieâs cameo isnât going anywhere.
âNormani danced, thatâs her talent! Kylie strutted like a model, thatâs her talent! People just weird!â a fan argued in Jennerâs defense, to which Cardi replied, âExactly.â
"Why did i put Kylie on my music video? she treated my sister and daughter so lovely at her kid bday party,â she explained in a since-deleted tweet. âTravis and Set are real close and Kris Jenner have giving [sic] me advice on certain things I ask for and her husband real cool with mine."
What do you think about Kylieâs cameo: should it stay or should it go?
