This Is What Simon Cowell Thinks About a Potential One Direction Reunion

There's been speculation about a One Direction reunion ever since the boy group disbanded a couple short years ago. With each of its five members still in music and happily celebrating the group's eight-year anniversarythe thought of Harry Styles, Zayn MalikLiam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan getting the band back together may not be too much of a pipe dream after all. At least, Simon Cowell doesn't think so.

"I just think the legacy is too big not to go back to at one point. Plus they have enough songs. I didn't realize how many hits they've had... When they do get back together it will be a huge event," the former X Factor judge recently told Entertainment Tonight. "But look, they're all doing their own thing and they're all being successful. But I have a feeling it will happen. I really do. I'd love it to happen."

Cowell is the person responsible for putting 1D together, when each of its members participated on X Factor back in 2010, and though he admitted they're all talented on their own, he thinks getting back together would be the right move, even if just for a few shows.

"Individually they were all great," he said. "The group was the launchpad, but, of course, everyone would love to see them back together, even if it was just a series of concerts."

Could the America's Got Talent judge know something we don't know? After all, the group's 10-year anniversary is coming up and a mysterious 2020 1D concert listing popped up then mysteriously disappeared the same day as their latest anniversary. Just sayin'...
