Now, this bear is a BLACK BEAR even though it looks like a brown grizzly, it's a black bear. We have so many of those in WNC who just wander in the streets and in people's front yard. You don't want to mess with a black bear, though. They can be very harmful.
This mother used her "mom voice" to scare the bear away, and surprisingly IT WORKED! That bear knew who the TRUE momma bear was! Can't fool around with ANY mother!
